How to Save Data on Google Drive?

Google Drive:

Google Drive is a data management and synchronization service developed by Google. User can assess their data anywhere all over the world. Google introduced it on April 24, 2012. Users can upload, share and delete data across Google Drive. Now we go to learn about how to save data on Google Drive.

Which types of data can a user save on Google Drive?

  • Documents
  • Images
  • Audio
  • Video

Save Data on Google Drive by Upload File & Folder

From your computer, you can upload data from drive.google.com or the location of your desktop. And, remember, users can upload data to private or shared folders.

Here are a few steps to save data on Google Drive:

  1. Go on Google and search drive.google.com.
  2. At the top left, click New
  3. > Click File upload if you want to upload files.

Or

Click Upload Folder if you want to upload folders.

Note: Users may also Upload files and folders from my drive icon clicks on

My Drive > select Upload file or Upload folders, resultantly your data will upload on Google Drive.

Drag the files on Google Drive.

  1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com.
  2. Click New > Click Folder.
  3. Create a folder & open it.
  4. Drag the file with the help of a mouse and release it folder for Upload File.

Save data on Google Drive: Upload files through Drive Application from the desktop.

  1. On Computer and Laptop, Install the Google Drive Application.
  2. On Your Computer & Laptop, you will see a folder called “Google Drive.”
  3. To Upload data, drag the file or folder and drop it in that folder. They will upload to Drive, and users can see them on drive.google.com.

How we can save data on Google Drive through Print View:

Note: First, make sure https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/save-to-google-drive/gmbmikajjgmnabiglmofipeabaddhgne had installed.

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Select and open the image, page, and file you want to print.
  3. Top left clicks File > Click Print
  4. In the window, select Save to Drive or click See more > Save to Google Drive.
  5. Click Print.

Convert Document into Google Format.

Here we know about converting documents like Microsoft Document into Google Format. You should change the setting to convert a file. Google Drive supports different kinds of files, but if you want to edit files on Google Drive, then, first of all, you have to convert them to Google Drive Format.

Note: Moreover, users can change Google Drive setting on their computers.

  1. Using Computer go to drive.google.com > drive > settings.
  2. The Next Step is “Convert Upload”
  3. After that, check the box.

Uploads Files with the Same Name:

On Google Drive, the user can save the same data on Google drive with the same name at a time, and it will upload it as a revision of the file already in Google Drive.

To Save/Upload both files.

  1. On your desktop, go to drive.google.com.
  2. Next, Upload the file.
  3. Next Click keeps as a separate file.

Accessing files offline:

Another beneficial tip for the user to Save Data on Google Drive:

 Google Drive allows users to access files offline without using an internet connection because most users don’t have the Internet. Users can download files offline. The offline view lets users modify Google Docs, Sheets, and Google Slides.

  1. Click the top right corner of the screen “Gear icon” Click > Setting
  2. Click the “Offline” box.
